Cycle Knox Trails – Saturday July 18, 2015, 9am -

This Saturday's July 18th ride on the Heart of Ohio Trail will meet at the Simmons Church Rd. parking lot in Mount Liberty (7180 Simmons Church Rd. Centerburg 43011).

Thanks to the generosity of the Knox County Health Department and the Fredericktown EMS, the Park District will have some bicycle helmets to give away to participants on a first come, first served basis. The Knox County Health Department obtained their helmets through a grant from the American Academy of Pediatrics (Ohio AAP Foundation)

This Cycle Knox Trails ride will head towards Centerburg and the half-way point is Centerburg’s Memorial Park. During a nice, leisurely rest stop at Memorial Park riders will celebrate with a “cool treat” in honor of National Ice Cream Day! Memorial Park has picnic tables, restrooms and a water fountain. After the break, cyclists will turn around and travel back to Mount Liberty. This Knox County Park District Cycle Knox Trails session is co-sponsored by the Centerburg Joint Recreation District.

Cycle Knox Trails is a new cycling series that meets once per month through the fall. The rides are family friendly and all begin at a different location, so please pay close attention to scheduled ride details. Remember to wear comfortable clothing, wear your bicycle helmet and bring a filled water bottle.

Here's hoping to see you at the trail!

Head's up! The Trail will have some scheduled preventative maintenance in early August. This will involve re-sealing a section. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.
