June 23, 2017: Please note recent storms have brought high winds, extremely heavy downpours, lightning, and hale to the Trail area. Some trees have broken and blocked the trail. They are being cleaned up as quickly as possible, but this weather system continues to pop up storms. They continue in today's forecast, with the next 3 days forecast as clear. Check the area weather forecasts as needed for current information. Please be watchful of trees, branches, and possible litter blowing onto the trail. Continue to report problems. In addition to the items on the path, watch for any erosion/washout. Thank you for understanding that weather is beyond our control. "Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it."
